Terminator Chaplain

I put off painting this model for a while because I've been painting black the same way for ages, and the thought of doing a whole model that way was a little daunting. Basically, I was bored. However, I finally pulled it out, stared at it for a while, and decided that I needed to play around a bit, do somethng interesting, and paint a different kind of black. So, the model got a kind of aged, weathered treatment, with all manner of different colours but still with armour one would call "black". The main colour is a kind of green, with little streaks of other colours such as blue, purple, brown and more green layered over the top. These were muted with a couple of layers of a blue-black-purple glaze, and the edges rehighlighted.

That informed the look of the rest of the model, and I feel like it really suits a Terminator Chaplain to look this way - that ancient armour, rather than something new and shiny. Although it's hard to see, there's a kind of angel painted into his loincloth - a face is just visible peeping out the top.
