Fianna Musician, Special Edition

The main thing you might notice about this model is that her eyes are open - I thought that while the closed eyes looked very nice on the version playing her pipes, they looked a little strange on the beckoning-with-weapon variation. So I added an eyelash line to the top and nearly went blind trying to paint her so that she didn't look bug-eyed. Most of the fiannas have pretty small eyes, but the large eyes go ok with the broad cheekbones and wide mouth. I really like the face on this one, it was enough to make me forget about the impractical top for a bit :-). This was my first Fianna, and all in all was quite enjoyable to paint, particularly all the highlighting on the musculature I did.

I added some newer pics at the top - I don't seem to be able to photograph this model properly. She's somewhere between the very first pic and the very last pic on the page. Grr.
