Dark Angel Sergeant

This limited edition Dark Angel model was given out at the Sydney GT one year, and my husband brought one home for me as he'd been competing in 40k. I decided to try out the glowing sword thing all the kids were doing, and it looked pretty cool. The armour was an attempt at highlighting through a larger range than I would usually, a range made even larger by the annoying tendency of Vallejo's Game Colour 'Dark Green' to dry much darker than it looks when wet. Still, the end result looks quite dramatic and nifty. The sword was painted using another new paint, Vallejo's Blue Fluo, and white. I'm positive the fluorescent paint and the white did something under the daylight bulb, because from memory I don't think it was that bright in person - in some of these pics it really does look like it's glowing. Possibly it's just because I used lots of white.
