Inquisitor

I'd seen a version of the Iron Priestess on CMON that was converted into an inquisitor (with feathery wings, an axe, blood splatter - very John Blanche, very cool) and kinda wanted to do my own version. This one is a bit more serene than ferocious. The wings are from an Eldar Swooping Hawk, the halberd is a Grey Knight's with an added purity seal, and the head is carved down from the Dark Eldar warrior head with the daft exploding hair. Most other heads were too small as the model is quite tall (she stands a head taller than a Space Marine, not including the wings). I'm still pretty proud of the model, and remain regretful that I couldn't get decent pics before she was shipped to her new owner. So fuzzy she'll remain, argh.

Leg armour detail:

Detail of this.. thing. The bird creature looks rather like a Manaia, which (according to a few references I've come across, please let me know if I'm wrong) is supposed to be some kind of bad spirit thing. So not like the birdmen on Easter Island, this one shows up in Maori art and apparently in Hawaii. But anyway, the heads often look like the head on this thing, although wings aren't a feature. So I figured (getting to the point) maybe it's a representation of a trapped demon, which works quite nicely in a 40k setting. I have no idea what it's supposed to be on the original Confrontation model though.
