Helbrecht, Black Templar character

Painted in March 06 for a painting competition at the local hobby event, Conflict, Helbrecht placed first in his category. I had a go at painting a figure on the back of his cloak, and while I'm not entirely satisfied with how it looks I think it's okay for an early attempt. More practice will undoubtedly see an improvement :). I used a lot of purple in the gold and rather like the look.

EDIT: I've taken more pictures with a darker background, and I think it's a better representation of the colour.
