Witch Hunters Penitent Engine

The two most memorable things about this model are how brutal it looks assembled, and what a complete dog it is to actually put together. The problem is that the pelvis-piece has rods at either side that fit through holes in the leg pieces - and they don't lock. Also, because the feet are separate, it's a case of having to glue together multiple pieces while trying to hold it all in place. What I ended up doing was balancing it all while fixing the feet to the base, then gluing the legs to the hips one at a time, pinning them in place through the leg after the glue had dried. Took absolutely forever, so it's a good thing Top Gear was on telly at the time.

Painting-wise, the part I most enjoyed was glazing loads of different colours over the metallic areas. There's purple, indigo, green, rusty-brown, and a kind of pink colour which is only in a few places to add a little warmth.
