Dante

Dante was an experiment in gold senmm on different surfaces, with the idea that it'd look cooler than regular nmm which might just look yellow. I spent so much time on the gold that unfortunately his weapons are not as exciting as they could be - I probably should have gone for a bit more colour variation there, and spent more time on the scorched muzzle. The other thing I did here was to give him a raised base, which is I think a looked a bit better than having him jogging along the ground with a jump-pack :-). It's supposed to be the ruins of a cathedral, so there's the remnant of an angelic figure and text on the inside wall. The base has strong stylised directional lighting, which I tried to keep in mind while painting the figure.
