13th Co. Lord
I'd had this model for something like 2 years before I got him out of the box. My husband pointed out what a cool 13th co guy he'd make... and then it just had to be done :-). The base model is the White Scars lord, with additions of a few space wolf bits and the banners from Rackham's Iron Priestess, who I'd just chopped up the week before to make an Inquisitor.
The bike has had extended forks (using necron rods, drilled all the way through and pinned at either end), and due to the fairly lousy old bike kits I also had to extend the legs of the rider, so that his feet would touch the footrests (Rather than looking like he'd borrowed his big brother's bike). That proved to be the most frustrating part of the whole endeavour, having to cut him off at the knees and redo most of the legs, although getting the forks to stay straight wasn't much fun either. Apparently, using rods exactly the same length and drilling them to flat surfaces means they're going to twist sideways... who knew?
My favourite bits on this model are the frostblade (repainted a couple of times due to looking really, really bad), the space wolf tank glyph that I fitted round the front wheel, the chromed bits (because there was too much grey to leave it plain metal), and the banners, which make this guy a real stand-out. And because until I was finished painting the ribbon patterns they just looked awful...
